The article examines the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the development of critical thinking of mathematics students. It is shown that digital intelligent tools can be used not only for automating calculations and finding ready-made solutions, but also as a means of developing analytical, reflective and evaluative skills. Special attention is paid to the use of AI in proof analysis, error detection, comparison of different solution methods and construction of counterexamples. It is noted that the effectiveness of such tools depends not on the mere fact of their application, but on the pedagogical organization of work with them. It is concluded that artificial intelligence can become an important resource for the development of critical thinking of mathematics students provided that it is meaningfully, methodologically and pedagogically integrated into the educational process.
